Topic : Salcombe Yacht Club Regatta

Whilst we all reflect on another great weekend of racing in Salcombe, it seems a good time to drum up some opposition for Salcombe Yacht Club regatta. I’ll be sailing the mighty Hot Totty and would love to have a few more merlins to race against. The NoR is published and it looks like we’ll be fleet racing rather than handicap racing this year as long as we get a few boats.

It’s an equally good, slightly less hectic version of Salcombe Merlin Week. Racing in the mornings, beach or water based activities in the afternoon. Beers in the evening.

The dates are 11th-16th August and full details are on the SYC website.

Hope to see lots of people there.

I've done this twice now, once when I didn't get a place for the Merlin Week, once when I didn't think I would but did anyway.
Starting the race is vastly easier without another 59 Merlins trying to occupy your carefully selected spot on the line and though the week hasn't quite got the buzz of Merlin Week the racing is very much the same as is Mill Bay, and the sponsor's gin was on special offer all week.
