Apologies for the late posting of info, but the exciting news is that we have a pretty amazing addition to Shoreham SC, our new slipway. It has only been open to the club for the last week, and lots of us launched and recovered from it today, and its pretty special - longer, wider, grippier and very very solid!

So, onto this weekend - the forecast for which looks amazing.

Registration open 10.00 - 12.00 on Saturday and 09.00 - 10.00 on Sunday

Briefing at 12.00 on Saturday with 1st warning signal on Saturday 13.55 - Merlins 1st followed by Ospreys, races 2 & 3 back to back

Hog Roast Saturday evening at 19.00 - tickets £12.50 + musical entertainment (band and Phantom DJ Spinner)

1st warning signal on Sunday 10.55 - Merlins 1st followed by Ospreys, races 5 & 6 back to back.

Due to the late handover of the slipway, the beautiful grassy dinghy park, isn't quite what it used to be, but it will serve us well until we can get the new lawn sown. There is room for camping and visitors will be advised on the best places to pitch. Camping will be on the old grass but you would be advised to bring a mallet.

It would be good to get an idea on numbers so please post here or contact William or myself.

We're excited to welcome the Merlins at Shoreham this weekend and look forward to seeing you all.

Sorry for confusion - the only coming ashore will be between races 3 and 4 for food, beer, wine or soft drinks, socialising and sleep.

Forecast still looks great and we have over 20 boats confirmed already.

Don' forget to plan your trip if you're effected by 'Ride London'.

Definitely worth the effort, last Sunday was perfect 12 - 15 knot SW and forecast will hopefully deliver the same for the open

I am unbelievably excited. So excited that I might be sad on Saturday morning because it’s nearly over. So I will be there. Sea sailing, beach, sunshine, merlin friends, hog roast, egg throwing and NEW SLIPWAY. I love new slipways.

What a beautiful day it is at Shoreham today as we prepare for your arrival - sunshine and a force three!

Whilst this isn't the forecast for the rest of the weekend, we are keeping a very close eye on it and plan to race if we can.

Saturday night is set to be legendary with plenty of beer, a band and DJ and the hog roast has transformed into a BBQ - I hope this isn't a deal-breaker for anyone.

There is camping on site and free parking so we look forward to seeing you all.
