During Salcombe Week a huge number of people expressed interest in coming to the 70th with many 100% committed but having not purchased a ticket.
100+ tickets sold so please contact me if you wish to attend to avoid missing out.
As a reminder, all past National Championship winners are guests of the association with nothing to pay. All other MROA members and Merlin sailors, friends of the association are very welcome.
Sailing on both days and a personal guarantee that the weather will be hotter than today's.

In addition to the accommodation listed in Fran's post there are two other hotels local to UTSC:
The Chequers Inn at Wooburn Common, 1 mile to the club but at the top of a hill. 01628 529575, [email protected]
Both quite pricey but good.
Also don't forget to book the sailing on the www.utsc.org.uk
site. If you have difficulty doing this or need more info about UTSC please contact me on [email protected]
or 07889 124363

Also if you have received an invite from the MROA (all ex Champs winners), please RSVP, I have heard from most but not all.

Just over a week to go.
The prosecco, gin and canapes have been order to accompany the sunshine and westerly force 3.
There are still a few tickets left but almost sold old, not too late to join in on the fun,

A quick reminder for all those intending to race in the De May series on Saturday.
Please be aware that the first race starts at 10:30, rather than the normal 11:00 that we're used to, as there's the extra Champion of Champions race to fit in during the day.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!

A plea for railway crossing safety this weekend
For those coming to UTSC for the first time and also those who haven't been for a while, access to the club and frontage is across a railway line. The trains will normally sound their horns before they come into sight so if you hear the horn please do not cross the line and keep the gates shut until the train has passed even if it seems to be taking a time. On Friday the trains will be coming through every 20 minutes and on Saturday/Sunday every 30 minutes.
The trains can come through remarkably quickly once they come round the bend and there will only be one winner if there is a Merlin stuck on the line.
The UTSC team will be keeping an eye out when the trains are due but please help us with this.
