Hello Neil
No, not available for a few weeks I would estimate. I have recently, got hold of provisional Silver Tiller list and started our calendar, based on that. Mervyn, is in Ireland at present and we will be having a chat about calendar as soon as he is back. I will post dates as I get them, if that helps (starting later today). Any clubs wishing to host an event in 2016 are welcome to contact Mervyn or myself as soon as possible. ([email protected]). Please check any dates that I post !

Thanks Ben for the update.  Just a question.... the classic mini series thread on this forum, will those races be in with the silver tilller races or have I got that wrong?  I am just working out what regatta's we can race next season.

Hi Neil

I believe that the Classic series will be within the Silver Tiller.

However, two possible thoughts, which are just my personal opinion; Clubs put considerable effort into hosting an event, so look our calendar, when complete, see if you guys wish to join in all or any to form part of your
own series although only boats 3357 and below, may gain points for the de May series. Secondly, we have allowed 'guest boats' to join in previously, being given rights on the water but no de May points. Do you have any one organising your group / calendar or is it just left to the MROA, if so, why ? We are governed by the MROA but organise ourselves via Mervyn Allen.

Do other de May sailors have any problem with this ? We already overlap several events with the CVRDA. Several Clubs actually award a trophy for their de May event and I would not envisage this situation being changed to include newer boats.

The classic mini series was held within the Silver Tiller last year - it was a bit of a spontaneous thing brought about by discussion on the forum. For a variety of reasons it was not well supported, which was a shame.

I'd have thought there will be plans afoot to do something similar next year, but message really is that it needs to be supported if its to develop into anything more than two or three boats fighting it out in the middle/back (Except Dave Croft who was actually rather fast!!)

The ST Calendar is now complete, it just needs loading onto the website. I believe that the local/classic circuit reps have got copies (There will have been some in circulation at the Dinner i think too)?
