MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Old Merlin Week photos sought. Redundant Merlin sails also sought

For 2016 Salcombe Yacht Club would  like to celebrate its long and very happy relationship with the Merlin Rocket Class. To do this we would like to display photographs from past Merlin Weeks which we hope will be interesting to everyone.

This is a call for all and any photos of Merlin Weeks past. Anything at all to do with Merlins at Salcombe would be most welcome whether on or off the water if identifiably Merlin related; perhaps of Merlin personalities and Salcombe events/incidents.

ALSO

We would also like a supply of any redundant Merlin sails be they spinnakers, jibs or spinnakers with particular preference for early sail numbers and/or cotton sails. However anything considered provided they are free!

All contributions most gratefully received.

Any photos please would you mail them to me at: [email protected]

If you have a sail or two you, you could spare and would like to discuss logistics.

Thank you in anticipation.

Graham,

I have an old Dacron Main, an old (really knackered) Laminate Main, a Jib and an old spinnaker that you are welcome to have. Not sure how i will get them to you but there is plenty of time between now and next Salcombe week.

Hi Graham,

I will see if I can take some for you but I have no idea when that will be. They are buried under boats andbikes in the garage at the moment.
