A big thank you to Tim for the ongoing reports from Whitstable. A great effort. Really appreciated.

Yes indeed. Have you also seen the webcam? - www.wyc.org.uk/flatteded/home_webcam.php Not sure what's happening right now - looks like the fleet launched but have returned to the beach.

The link to the webcam should be http://www.wyc.org.uk/flattened/home_webcam.php

How does Tim do it? Excellent reports and impressive sailing. Tim - please ask Andrew to buy you a pint on my behalf.
I look at the webcam but wish that it was much better. How much would a good one cost?
Wish I was there.

The web-cam is just the WYC one, ideally one which pans would be better but I suppose the club wouldn't see the need for that. Maybe a good web-cam is something the committee might consider? I personally would love to see Trac Trac on the boats but I understand there is quite an overhead in managing this. A burden that would impossible / unfair on competing sailors. We remote spectators are desperate for any news! We all owe Tim a beer!

I would like to echo John's comments - to finish third overall and still have time to get the reports logged in super fast time was a fantastic effort - well done indeed! The 70th dinner was a good 'do' and it was reassuring to see the main contenders keeping a very long way from orange juice on the night before the final races!!
