Topic : Cookham Reach De May & Silver Tiller Open Meetings

Hi Everybody!!

I want to draw your attention to the Cookham Reach Sailing Club Merlin Weekend. This is festival of Merlin Sailing with something for everyone over two days of saling on the best strecth of Thames there is!! (Or so I am told ;-))

On Saturday we have:

De May Vintage Event. 3 races starting no earlier than 11.30am Lunch and Tea will be available between the races.

Guy Pearce Memorial Race (all ages of Boat). Starting no earlier than 2.30pm and run in conjunction with the 3rd De May race.

Saturday will be £8 including morning tea/coffee, or £5 for the Guy Pearce only

The club/bar will be open on the Saturday evening and (Plans yet to be formalised) camping in the grounds is available or there is a B&B at the end of the road (The Crown).

Sunday is the Cookham Shield Silver Tiller strating no earlier than 11am and consisting of 3 races with Lunch and Tea inbetween races.

Sunday is £15 including Morning Tea/Coffee and Bacon Rolls

I really look forward to seeing you all there to enjoy a bit of river sailing. Bring the family along to watch, it is a lovely setting and spectators get a great view of the racing.

What an interesting result for Sunday's Silver Tiller. I don't know (maybe one of the class historians might like to comment) but could this be the first time in the class and silver tiller history that first, second and third all went to lady helm's?
