Topic : Real Magic - how to order your copy

Ordering (and paying for) your copy of Real Magic

Firstly, a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who has shown their support for the Real Magic project by committing to buy a copy of the book. This has enabled me to take a number of key steps, such as getting the best possible deal from the Printers, both in terms of price and timescale. At the same time, Jane Harris has stepped up to the task of organising the P&P, at a rate some 50% below even the ‘best possible’ that I had been able to come up with – so thank you Jane!

Now I am going to have to ask you to help me one more time! I would rather not be carrying around too much money at the Show, so have set things up so that, where possible, payment can be made in advance. There are three ways to get your order confirmed and paid for :-

Paypal

Bank Transfer

Cheque posted direct.

I can confirm that the cost of the book is £40. P&P for single books will be £4. Orders for multiple copies or books going abroad, I will email straight back to you with a price, though again the rates that Jane is offering are significantly better than anything I could have done, so shipping out abroad is no longer a ‘no can do’!

To place your order, just send me an email to

[email protected]

My PayPal ID is the same as the order page.

If you want to do Bank Transfer, I will email you back with the details, those wishing to post a cheque will get an email back with my address, though for Association Members that is in the current Yearbook.

If you want your copy posted to you, remember to add your address to the email, the books should start to be posted out the first week of March.

For those of you coming to the Show, a quick reminder that the ‘witching hour’ is 10.30am Saturday, on stand C62. I’m looking forward to the day (day?? – BOTH days) and being able to thank as many of you as possible, for without the input of so many people, the spell of Real Magic would never have been cast!

The class owes "Dougal" a huge debt for the scholarship and research of this mighty tome. It is truly the best History of a Class book I have seen, very well printed and bound, great pictures, amusing and informative text. He has done it without being a bore either just quietly squirrelling away.

A real history of the class as it was and is on the cusp of 2014/15.

Anyone who has even a passing interest in this wonderful two person dinghy should
buy one.

Thank you from me.

Dougal

Are you going to send a poster around to the main Merlin clubs, as some members at our club are interested in the book, but did not realise it had been now been published

Hello Dougal,

My copy arrived today and after reading a few paragraphs, while browsing through the book, it felt like traveling through time while all of it was happening. I can't wait to pick it up again tonight. So much to learn!

Thank you and all who contributed to this wonderful book.

All the best,

Julio

Got my copy it's excellent

Good to see some of the Pics from the early eighties - this is when my desire for a Merlin started seeing them come for Silver Tiller meetings at Harlow ( Blackwater) Sailing Club in Maylandsea where I grew up and started sailing

Thanks
 Piers
