MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : USA Hazardous Boat Building Project - August, 2014 Update

Hi,

I just published my August update. Since it was a very busy month with work and Summer family trips, etc, little progress was made on the boat so I included some of the work done in September.

Fitting the rubbing strakes is teaching me real wood working skills I didn't have so it has been a great learning experience for me. I expect the carlins to be challenging as well since all these components and the deck will be varnished and they have to look great.

Here's the link to my blog. I hope you enjoy the update.

Cheers!

Julio

Hi Julio,

You're doing brilliantly -- but what a nightmare !!

Picara is looking fantastic.

Keep up the great work, the end is in sight !

Keith, thank you for your kind words and for all your help along the way. Writing the blog will hopefully help me go back and write an e-book, when finished.

Ainslie, a nightmare indeed. But nightmares exist only in our dreams. Once I got off my rear and started executing the methods I had been given, things started to fall into place rather quickly.

Note to self: Less tinkering, more execution.
