Could they be mounts for jib cleats?

"Thanks all,\r\n\r\nThe bow tank is gone - will replace with a bow bag for easier maintenance.\r\n\r\nslight concern regarding stiffness with the tank gone, and was thinking of a ""ringbeam bulkhead"" in the same plane (and indeed replacing) the deck support forward of the mast!\r\n\r\nWas going to keep the spinny chute as I might try to learn to set and fly one!(returning to dinghys after a long layoff cruising on larger boats - cruising chute anyone?).\r\n\r\nOn the subject of the mast - I have the original? procter aluminium stick (serial No A332) complete with spreaders (not as predicted) and a slightly wobbly looking drum kicker (should it have bearings - does it work? - should I keep it?)\r\n\r\nAlso - there are 2 supports on the hull either side of the mast at roughly the same height as the top of the centreboard casing - any ideas as to what they were for (being a bit thick!)\r\n\r\nMany thanks\r\n\r\nWarwick"

Thanks for all the suggestions.\r\n\r\nI have added another photo to show the blocks more clearly...\r\n\r\nIt is definitly not for toe straps (too high) and if the front of the centreboard casing had been supported it might not have cracked!\r\n\r\nI was thinking of putting a forward thwart in to:\r\na) support the front end of the centreboard casing\r\nb) give my children somewhere to step down into rather than jumping through the bottom of the hull!\r\nHas anyone done this? (ideas/photos gratefully recieved)\r\n\r\nWarwick

There might have been a cross member attached the blocks and to the kingpost or to front of centreboad case. Some boats had the toestraps attached to these.
