Saw it at Rutland and we were most impressed and thought long and hard. It is the fact that it is comletey up to date except for the carbon effect and looks tremendous. I can't justify it despite the knockdown price. \r\n\r\nI know that I'll kick myself for years to come. |
"We're off to Rutland this weekend for the bank holiday training event and silver tiller - taking along our beautiful wooden Merlin - Tales of Marco Polo, sadly up for sale - if you know anyone looking for their first wide merlin - fully sorted and just re varnished, pop along to the training and have a look, have a sail.\r\n\r\nThere's a link to Flickr - more photos to add later" https://www.flickr.com/photos/79447750@N03/sets/72157634802335109/ |
"Doh, can't get the link to work! Mail me and I'll send the link if you want to browse some pictures of varnished wood, mmmmm." |
"Thanks, quickly reached the limit of my capability on that one." |
Remarkably still for sale! a couple more photos on Flickr too. Performed well at Rutland for its shake down.\r\n\r\nAlso a generous offer by Gareth at The Notting Hill Rigging Co. to convert the rig to Carbon very economically means that all of the options are open to potential buyers. |
"The carbon parts are certainly more plentiful and less expensive than they used to be s/h, very little else would need changing, just a bit of calibration and small adjustments to the standing rigging - the running rigging would swap straight over." |
"Still available, a lot of photos on flickr, link above, really nice boat and great value for a boat needing no repairs or attention - just add water for a lot of fun for the modest outlay!" |
Boat looks beautiful... www.flickr.com/photos/79447750@N03/sets/72157634802335109/ |
"Go for it, nothing worse than telling everyone that the boat that everyone is admiring, is the one you nearly bought!" |
The carbon conversion isn't as expensive as you might think... Drop me a line and we can work something out. |
