It's on ebay link below. Looks in original format to me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Merlin-Rocket-no8-sailing-dinghy-/121175263666?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Sailing_Boats_ET&hash=item1c369bc9b2 |
It's been on the for sale list for almost a year. Looks like she is going to need saving before the winter though. |
She has deteriorated since I saw her last year. I hope someone from the vintage side buys her soon; class history and too good to let go. |
No 8 saved |
well done; I hear 7 has been resurrected too! |
I gather 7 has joined 6 and 16 and some slightly newer MRs at Shearwater. Number 8 would be very welcome too! |
Pat, very kind offer, but I live a little too far away from the club for regular sailing there, however it would be good to get the boats together at some stage. |
David please come and join us at CVRDA events then. The truly vintage Merlins (pre number 500) get a favourable handicap and you'll be sailing with others keen on the old boats. See the website for more details http://www.cvrda.org |
Where abouts are you based, our Vintage racing events move to many parts of the country, I am sure that we will have some near you |
I am based Nr Windsor. Cookham and Hampton are both fairly close to me. |
Hi David, well done for saving her, I was tempted but have too many as it is. Are you looking to join a local club? We have a growing vintage fleet at Cookham with another 2 boats joining it this year and, time willing, I am about to start my restoration on 635 'Siesta'. |
Jez, thanks for offer however I am a member of too many clubs as it is. |
Where is she going to be based then? |
