Ken Jenner was a New Zealander who flew bombers from England during WW2. He joined BOAC after the war, became a captain and flew Britannias, Comets and VC10s.

He and his two children joined Minima Y.C. around 1959/60, Ken bought a Chippendale MK XII no. 1025, and gave her the NZ name of 'Tainui'.

After his wife Ruth died and he had retired Ken moved from Wimbledon to Hamble and married Audrey. He had a yacht moored on the Hamble River and became Commodore of Hamble River S.C.

I suggest that most people who were members of Minima in the 1960s would have stories to tell about Ken, he was the sort of man you'd never forget!

There is an obituary in today's Daily Telegraph of Ken, quite a war! Sadly ir glosses over his Merlin Rocket "Tainui" 1025 and Finn but it is good to see a full life celebrated like this a link to the electric version is below. Did Ken ever look THAT young!
