In past years I have compiled a list of clubs which run a Winter series, such as the popular Chichester Snowflake. If you email me with details, I will update the follwing link, which is now inaccurate... http://www.merlinrocket.co.uk/misc/winter_series.htm |

We have the Autumn Series which is currently running and has 12 races left to run including the popular Super Sunday 4 race sprint finale on 18th December. Then its the Boxing Day regatta and the Wembley Wassail Pursuit race is immediately after New Year, plus you get to compete in the Winter Series of 24 races from January until March. |
Blithfield Barrel-one Sunday per winter month-first race 13th Nov. A good few Midlands Merlins to race against. |
Merlin start is at 10.30 hrs for Harbour tour racing at Parkstone Yacht Club in beautiful Poole Harbour, the jewel of the south coast, followed by a super sunday lunch with the Parkstone Merlin fleet. Contact Mark Waterhouse 07834770428. |
I hope we will be seeing the same race by race reporting for this years Tamesis Winter Series, as last year. So interesting with Merlin Rocket designs racing from Passing Clouds, through Adur 7's, 9B's, Smokers, NSM2's to Winder Tales, each offering an edge in certain conditions, each humbled in equal measure by the vageries of river sailing, plenty of talent on offer too. Probably the best Winter Series sailing in the Merlin Rocket World. |
Anything on offer this weekend? Are the Hayling Merlins going to play on Saturday? |
Hi All, for anyone who's boat is laid up in the boatyard having some TLC, why not join us at Wembley. You can join as a temporary member and use the WSC club Merlin an NSM2, 3535 on a first come first served basis. Fully carboned up it will more than hold its own at Wembley in the right hands for club racing. Unlike a lot of club boats its very well maintained so you won't spend you Sunday mornings lashing it back together! Maybe you're a crew who's helm is taking time out for a couple of weeks and you want to helm. We can find you a crew I'm sure. |
