Just posting this so people are aware. I was on duty for Hampton SC's Enterprise Open last weekend. During the first race a visitor arrived and was taken over to the club by a couple of the children on the chain ferry. He was inquiring about joining and wondered if we had some information and a website. Though during the time I was with him I was keeping a close eye on his movements, after he had gone we discovered 2 mobiles and around £40 in cash missing from jackets and trousers hanging up in the gents. He must have been a very quick and slick operator and is probably the same man who perpetrated a similar theft with a similar back-story at Aquarius a few weeks ago.
Please just be aware - I suggest not leaving your valuables in pockets! The visitors had been a lot more security conscious than the Hamptonites. Consider that someone who approaches the club in this way may not have sailing in mind and keep a close eye on their movements, particularly anywhere near the changing rooms.
