Topic : Broken masts returned to Chipstow

Alan, Patrick, Lou, William: your broken masts were safely delivered to Jacko at 20:30 last night. Jacko's reaction was a complex mixture of sadness and joy!
On a personal note, I want to say how much I enjoyed the Championships - renewing old friendships and meeting new people, young and old. As for the sailing, I really enjoyed the races we finished, but I have to admit that lack of practice and advancing years have taken their toll. However, as compensation I can always refer to the past - for example, I congratulated Chris Downham after he crewed the winning boat in the Friday race (Silent World Trophy), and was able to tell him that I was the winning crew on this day, 39 years ago....

At least you are a has been, and not just a never was.......'
