Vaguely remember this one , I think it's a Turner foam sandwich hull that was decked by somebody else. Zeb Elliot & Chris Feibrish borrowed it and sailed at the first Tenby nationals many years ago. I think they came 5th.........or was that 3473 ?

Rebel Yell has had significant work done since I last saw it. Guy Wood owned it for a while at Hampton, the boat needed a bit of TLC that it didn't get and he sold it on to a young sailor who then I think sold it again cheaply. Initially it had a canvas foredeck and a spaceframe if memory serves. The work has been done to a very high standard and significant money spent if the pictures are any guide. The boat was a Jon Turner foam sandwich shell completed and fitted out by someone else. I expect someone will know who. There was not a bad boat came out of that mould though will not be on the pace now. Empi, Shindig, Carrera, Terrabyte - where are they all now?

I sold Terrabyte to a chap at Wembley in 2005 in mint condition, although I think she became somewhat neglected there! I believe she is now living at Hayling Island SC, hopefully to be sailed in the Nationals? After Judith Massey owned Empi the boat went to Dave Lee (Starcross) then up North. Carrera I believe is still in the hands of Guy Wood? 3488 was once owned by Graham Scroggie in which he won the Nationals circa '93. Shindig not quite sure where that went after Alan Markham owned her. Jeepers, all from memory! I think I need to get out a bit more! :-)R

'Shindig' MR3502 is still going strong and now sails at Wembley. I bought her off John Bridger in 2007 who had in turn bought her off Alan Markham. She still looks terrific having been recently repainted and revarnished by Jamie Stewart at Synthesize Yachts. I've changed her one pole system to twin carbon poles and a new rules spinnaker. The aluminium boom has been replaced with carbon. Alan Jacksons patent mast rake system
is still a bit of a mystery though - no one at Wembley has ever seen anything like it!

Terrabyte is at Hayling belonging to Mike Partridge. He has had it refurbished at Jamie Stewart and it is still racing competitively particulalry in lighter airs.

You're right, it was my faulty memory not yours. Shindig was for sale at the time I bought Heaven Sent & for much the same money, from Alan Markham, & is a Chipstow Tales.

Two of the last and best turner tales are at Blithfield-3505 Sterling Crisis and 3512 'Flying Cloud'.
