Hi Steve

The Midland SC open results are on the ST results, see link.

Note there is also a Midland circuit which is separate from the ST series, though some events count for both series.

Steve, Your results from Midland are missing as only the people having completed more than one Silver Tiller open are featured. Now you have done Banbury too I am sure you will be on there.

Are you coming to Cookham this weekend? Looks like it is going to be more of the same and you went pretty quickly on Sunday? Particularly in that last race, piping us to the post!

OK I think there is an error in these results. Per rule A8.2 places 13 and 14 should be swapped, as the latter had the best last race. Can someone from Banbury comment please.

Thanks

Jeremy Hi
I hink I have family commitments this weekend but so far we have improved massively on last years 1 appearance at blithfield barrel where w were well last.

Now sold gp so only have merlin to sail, looking forward to many more events next one maybe rutland but sadly cant do whole weekend for training but should be at open meeting.

Not too bad for an old boat with 29 stone in it.

cheers

Ross, is it not done on countback first? It is actually right if you do that.

Only the "race scores" are to be listed in order so as to break a series tie - RRS A8.1. This Rule states that "No excluded score shall be used", which indicates to me that discards shouldn't be taken into account.

RRS A8.2 goes on to say that "If a tie remains between two or more boats they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race."

Ross et al

It was me having a senior moment at the end of a long day probably induced as well by the fact that we do not use this RYA method for calculating results in series at Banbury as we feel it unfairly penalises the person who happens to have to miss the last race in a long series.
