Just replacing hydrolic shroud leavers, and moving the mastfoot to the standard 53 inchs. Can anybody give me a shroud position from the front of the mast foot.
Anybody want a set of hydrolics.

53" from where?

Here are some figures I've collected for 'modern' boats - 'tales and the like. It obviously changes depending on your beam and so on.
Stem to jib atachment 7" (180mm) Jib attatchment to front of mast 53" - 1360mmm (Think some measuremnts are to the first bolt hole used in the track?) Jib attachment to shrouds(measured on the centreline)71" - 1800mm
I've got some measurements including some older boats which go down to 1750 for the shroud position, up to 1840.
I don't know how sacred these measuremnts are, but you're welcome to them as a start point - perhaps phone a boat builder and ask for a definitive answer?

It will also depend on the board position to some degree. Best measurement is stem to leading edge with board lowered.

Thanks for the replies. I have moved the mast forward about 3".(From the back of the track to the front). Front of mast to tack(normal position) is now 53". The boat had a lot of changes early in it's life, including shroud position and Jib tack.(moved from the stem).
