Will the club be open to drop boats off on tomorrow? Thanks |
quick bump |
I am going out on a limb here, but being the most local to the club, I feel fairly confident in saying that it will be yes. Staffed every day of the week, it operates pretty much 9-5, best to phone first of course but they are super helpful. |
I'll be getting there about 830 id think so most likely too late |
The dinghy park is accessible at all times so dropping the boat off will be easy - but will you feel it is safe having done so? |
Unfortunately as experience has shown, it's perhaps best to remove all removables from inside the boat at Chi. Not casting dispersions on Chi YC, it's just that the dinghy park is open all hours to the public, (who aren't the concern) and pikeys. One of them has their horse and dog tied up with my tapered jib and spinnaker sheets no doubt. |
That'd ok id rather leave it there than a travelodge car park! Thanks |
Thanks to Chichester YC for a very pleasant sail on Saturday, good early season shakedown in a pleasant breeze. Can't remember when I last had as quick a turnround between races, I know I was at the back but hardly had time to get the lid off the water bottle before the next start sequence. However thanks to the usual Merlin eagerness we had a dress rehearsal or two before each start so I didn't have to worry too much about getting to the line! |

My only gripe, 30 boats, early start and a staffed galley, so why no hot food? |
Brilliant racing, my only gripe is that I appear to have had a sex change courtesy of the race officer! They did however get the boat name right (which is more than I can manage!) |
