Topic : Tamesis Club trophy on sale on Ebay?

Hi Tamesis sailors..

An old Anchor Trophy has appeared on Ebay. Just wondered if this has was lost in the past, or a bone fide sale. Not that I wish to buy, but perhaps an opportunity for the Club to regain a "lost" trophy. I'm sure that there's a Merlin sailor out there who knows about such things

Hi Tim - thanks for highlighting this. 'Our father who art in Lymington', currently has the original Tammy Anchor. This item has been on ebay before and I am told it is a small replica of the Tammy Anchor. thanks again.

In Greek mythology, the Nereids (pronounced /ˈnɪəri.ɪdz/, NEER-ee-idz; Ancient Greek: Νηρηΐδες) are sea nymphs, the fifty daughters of Nereus and Doris. They often accompany Poseidon and are always friendly and helpful towards sailors fighting perilous storms. They are particularly associated with the Aegean Sea, where they dwelt with their father in the depths within a silvery cave. The most notable of them are Thetis, wife of Peleus and mother of Achilles; Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon; and Galatea, love of the Cyclops Polyphemus.

never seen perilious seas at tamy although the 50 daughters sounds great, one for each of the merlins they have there?
