Yesterday afternoon a large congregation joined Patrick King's family in Hamble's ancient church to celebrate his life. Among them were Champion helms and crews and enthusiasts from six decades of Merlin Rocket history.  Patrick's school friend Frank Hooper and Spud Rowsell spoke about him and I'm sure I wasn't the only one with tears in my eyes. Afterwards we crowded into the lower bar of the Royal Southern Y.C. to reminisce about Patrick and old times. Patrick was well remembered and won't be forgotten.
