The M56 will be shut between 2200 on Friday until 0500 on Monday between J5 and J8. Though this is probably not the route most people will use, it will put more traffic on to the M62 and M60.  

Similarly, Albert Royd Street, which is the northern part of the Rochdale bypass, is shut at the moment. Though most people will not use this route, it is putting a lot more traffic on to the B6225, which is the road from the motorway M62 J21 to the lake.  

Advice. do not leave it until the last minute!
