MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Wembly Open

Just got home from Wembley and wanted to record how well organised C and I thought you all were. The races were the right length, the course was good and the back to back arrange worked very well.

Also thanks for the assistance with launch and recovery, mars bars on the water and special thanks to the rescue boat who went back to get the old mainsheet for us (new one was tooo slippery).

Well done!

Thanks from me too. Turning the short races round very quickly meant my poor body was able to cope.

And free bacon rolls and mars bars? Result!!

Great format, very well organised, well done all at Wembley. The attention to detail was teriffic including a booklet that listed former winners and the current ST standings, and an unofficial ST update at the end of the meeting.

I was not feeling up to it and decided not to push my luck as there would be a big attendance being a Trainning weekend, Thames Series event and Silver Tiller. Maybe I should have pushed my luck?

It was an excellent event, also the first Merlin event where I didn't come last! I liked the format, length of races etc.
Next year I will have a weed stick though!

There were 26 competitors in total of which 13 visitors, I just didn't list them all out on the forum due to my typong skills being rather slow! The full results have been sent the ST results co-ordinator and he'll likely publish them soon.

Previous forum posts reveal only one Tosh child survived the journey back from the Nats after a feeding frenzy about a wetsuit.

Tosh you would leave your head behind at an event sooner or later if it were not attached to your body.

How do you do it ;-))

I can confirm that all three children are alive and well. Chiltern Railways especially love Tosh for his gifts of port and stilton amongst numerous other generous donations!
