I'm taking 2404 down to the CVRDA do in mid Wales this next w/end and need to find out when she was built.
I know she is a Wyche and Coppock Noakes Moon Rocket, and that's it, I think she dates to around 68 69, but have'nt a name - so I've given her a new one.

Any info, gratfully received

The year book says built 1971 the name in the year book is "Q. E. Too".

She used to be owned and sailed by a Mr Paul Dawson-Edwards

She was a lovely looking boat when I used to sail against her in the 70's in Portmadoc [North Wales]

still is a good looking boat. gets admiring comments from everyone [even the 49ers were impressed]. I have'nt even had to varnish her before she went in the water. 

I've got here *in trust* from the owners daughter who needed to find a home for her urgently since the owners property had been sold after his death.

PS she has'nt moved far, just down the coast towards Abersoch.

That's a coincidence, I live in Abersoch [see link below], and there are no merlins here to sail against. Would the daughters name be Sarah?

heh. I live in Pwllheli, keep the boat there and just pootle around in it, trying to get fit. I have another MR 1099 which needs a rebuild - the glue holding the planks is beginning to let go. It's a long term project since I'm in the middle of renovating  N18 too.

So 2404 is the merlin at the back of the enclosure that I spotted last month. Perhaps we could arrange a merlin reunion at pwllheli. contact details are on my website. Built 3646 myself {http://www.littlejoesolutions.co.uk/merlin2/real.htm} so if you need some glue!
