Thanks to Earlswood for an excellent event as always. Won by Duncan Salmon for the second year running despite him not hearing the shorten course signal at the end of the second race and hence not sailing through the finishing line! Understand the crew is looking for cheap hearing aids.

Results from both Carsington and Earlswood will be up on the web in a week or so.

No sign of the Earlswood monster but then nobody capsized.

Midland Circuit results can now be found on the link below. Quite a number of people can still qualify by coming to one of the non-Silver Tiller events either Shustoke in early September or Redditch in October.

Future entrants to the Earlswood Merlin Open can sleep easier in their beds tonight knowing the turtle has been safely caught last Friday and relocated to an appropriate place!

Impressive - 25kg (or 55lb in real money).

The turtle is/was female so perhaps Earlswood sailors need to watch out for the offspring??

Earlswood was a sombre place this weekend following the appalling capture and detention of Snapper and subequent humiliation on TV.

She enjoyed her freedom whilst she had the opportunity and struck fear into the hearts of wary visitors. She will be fondly missed.

However, we look forward to the offspring and hopefully we will be able to offer turtle soup at the open next June.
