Reading Y&Y am I right in saying Jamie has built a brand new Rater? Chris any gossip on who it is going to... |
Ross, Have a look at his website, he has a bit more info on thre about it. He has done a composite wood lookalike job on the decks so I think it is going to be a good one! Can't wait to see it. |
Sorry forgot the link! http://synthesizeyachtsanddesign.com/?s=custombuild |
Speaking to Jamie on Tuesday, all go on the Rater. No paint on her then, but I am sure that there will be some (still slightly tacky) by Saturday. |
The new Rater is built from the original drawings of Scamp, a Linton Hope design from 1906, so is long and thin. She has a 5o5 foredeck, complete with spinnaker shute, rolled side decks and a large stern tank. |
Will be one of the most eagerly anticapated boats at the show other than of course the ultimate Sail Rocket. Even if some of it will still be curing at the show. See if the tanks all have the hatches in! |
I thought she looked lovely,it must be the merlin parts in her that spice up the look of the thing... |
There's an article in the latest Y&Y saying it isn't to the same lines as Scamp but very similar as tank testing and so on suggested there was little improvement to be made over the lines of the original. Expect wet paint! |
And also shows a picture of the elegant Lady Jane, but then I have to declare an interest! |
Saw the new toy today. See Jamie, has the same taste in colour, as his old man. |
