It's the first silver tiller of the Season at Ranelagh this coming weekend (Sunday 28th Feb). |
What is the parking like at ranelagh these days? Last time I came I had to park quite a distance form the club. I am tossing up between Ranelagh and Chichester at the moment. Allot depends on the forcast too of course as I like sailing at both places. |
There are no restrictions on Sunday and Fulham are in Sunderland. Tide will be quite high however. Leave your boat and trailer by the Club and park up one of the side streets or on higher bits of the embankment. Club will be open at least 2 hours before the start with free tea and coffee, food & bar after. Bit early to know what the weather will be like. Hope to see lots of you here. |
can't lend you a boat but can borrow your crew!!!!! |
Who said I was crewing! if its less than a force 2 I might have a go at helming (Disclaimer: but also might not). |
current forecast northerly 21mph.....hmmm got smokers written all over it! |
All take and no give here, Mr P... |
Is a fixed rudder feasible? Ta |
my forecast now says 29mph !! |
My forecast said it was turning light ... |
Chris, you should be fine with a fixed rudder. Only a couple of spots that get a bit shallower. You might have to reach down to dislodge the odd carrier bag or branch so keep your mouth closed while doing that but otherwise I think you should be ok.... |
And the winners were? |
Duncan Salmon did well. |
Was that in the Merlin or The Yawl. Is this a sign of old age creeping on. |

I wouldn't say there's a problem with the link Nick, but this one takes you straight to the photos.... http://www.ranelagh-sc.co.uk/merlinphotos2.htm |
