We have 2706, The Entertainer, a Keith Callaghan Hornblower design built by the Aln Boatyard in 1973. Still competitive in lighter winds on smaller waters and qualifies as a vintage Merlin. Open to offers, for sale or long-term charter. Currently lying in Sutton Coldfield, but alway sailed at Midland SC by successive owners, where she was stored indoors for most of her life. please call to discuss options.

Try Terry Curtis. Chuft is now for sale, one of the fastest Satisfactions and with a carbon rig. Maybe a deal to be done?

Concerto was at Hampton for some years owned by a succession of club members. Trouble is you don't quite know what TLC means in an advert, rubbing down and revarnishing and replacing a bit of rubbing strake is one thing but cutting out rot, redecking, replacing half the fittings quite another. But a Rowsell Smokers is still a good river boat...

I am hoping to collect Concerto this or next weekend. Admittedly there is no such thing as a free lunch and I can assure you there is a lot that needs to be done to 3047 as TLC in this case definately means replacing rubbing strakes, decks etc, etc. Once I have had a look at the boats general condition I can weigh up whether it is really worth the effort or add it to the list of boats destroyed.

Please don't destroy a Merlin for the sake of a re-deck. There is always someone else out there who will have the (inexplicable) urge to do so!

She was mine for a few years, and I loved her but she was falling to bits when I passed her on. I remember sailing a race in her at Salcombe about ten years ago with four sprung planks and a lot of Duct tape holding her together (we made it round the course though). In her day she was a super quick river boat....Please someone restore her to her former glory I'd hate to news of her being sent to that big boatyard in the sky.
