Topic : Old Mainsail

Having very nearly completed the restoration of 1974 Jon Freemen Rapidity, I am looking for a cheap sail to get me on the water. Boom is a Needlespar and the old original(?) sail measures 5580 leading edge by 2280 foot. Can anyone help ? Located just outside Reading.

It might be helpful to check the mast to see what luff length it was meant to take - measure between the black bands if they are there, or close to the top pulley down to the gooseneck.

Griff, I have a number of old suits in the garage that are in reasonable nick considering age (originally measured early to mid nineties) that would suit a tracked ali boom and mast rig. Not sure on the eact sizes of each, would need to get them down and check. You're welcome to come and have a look and see if any are suitable. I live near Watford
