Topic : Championships update

With just over a week to go I have updated the championships website with info about;

* Food, drink and socials
* Regatta office details
* Car parking
* Launching
* Dinghy parking

See you all next weekend - and for those that can't make it we will be keeping you up to date with results and reports on a daily basis.

What's the dress code for the "posh" buffet? As it's a buffet, I'm assuming it's not black tie style posh?

Also, is there any free parking anywhere in Whitstable? Am quite happy for it to be a bit of a walk as am planning on driving down Sat, dumping my stuff and then not using my car again until the next Sat...

also, am I missing something or is there no fancy dress?!

Sophie - Are you the person we can speak to about pre-booking parking tickets?

Thx

Unfortuntaely we are not going, but yes there is free parking, about 5 minutes stroll away. Use Google Earth / Google Maps, and you can actually see the yellow lines.

The link below is pretty close to where we parked last time we visited.

Not sure i can answer many of these, so I'm hoping John will wade in, but as far as I am aware;

- you can't pre-book the parking
- there are a number of roads where you can park for free around the town

We have just had two perfect days of sailing here - sun and wind... bring on the champs!

The entry list has now been updated with berth numbers in an effort to ease congestion when you drop your boats off (there will be people around on the day with this info in case you forget it).

Hi
If I turn up early on Friday morning can we leave the Merlin in the boat park? We would not be back to rig her until Saturday morning.
Thanks

Dangerous:
The food will be posh - not the dress!
No organised fancy dress this year
No problem parking in nearby streets for free.
