Topic : HELP

i am having crew issues, i seem to be in lovely position of having many people wishing me to sail with them. a joy you would think... but no! i have been crewing at the back of the fleet but recently some people closer to the front have asked me to sail as a one off. :0 i really would like to sail with them as i really want to improve and i feel i'm not improving at the moment...
any comments greatly appriciated :(

honesty is the best policy - talk to your regular ride, they'll understand and will ultimately benefit from your new found tactical knowledge when you return, but don't burn your boats!

If your regular driver is realistic and feels he will not get any better, but you might, then if he's half decent he will wish you good luck and give you his blessing, if he doesn't then you are better off moving on anyway, it depends on your realistic aspirations, remember the higher up the fleet you go the more loylty is asked for in terms of making dates, time away and at home for practice!

You can't be a true crew .. you seem to have a conscience!

Not only a conscience, but showing indications of thinking for themselves. Unheard of in a crew. What is this world comming to.

Somebody snap him up quick. A crew that can do moe than grunt. I would but my crew would only beat her chest, bellow and snort, and hit me round the head with half an up rooted tree.

"Women should be willows ... it is for men to be oak and Ash" (Ian Fleming, The Spy Who Loved Me).

Incidentally as far as I know, Enid Blyton had nothing useful to say on the subject.

Happy belated birthday Lucky Liam.

Watch out for the dreaded M.A.S.

Ash, Remember, its your sailing career. Crews select hemsmen, not the other way around. A good crew can get a mediocre helmsman around the course in an improved way but a good helmsman cant improve with a mediocre crew!
