MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Salcombe ST

With it being just over a week away from the fleets first foray of the year to Salcombe is there any chance I could have a heads up of who is likely to appear? We have new caterers starting next week at it would be appreciated if they could know whats about to hit them!!!!!

So far Duncan Salmon, Tom Stewart and Chairman Alex have indicated that they will be coming and the word on the street from the holiday home agencies is that they have a lot of bookings for the weekend so obviously people have tried to get their acts together.............

And if Mike and Jane read this, please can you bring the trophy back!!!

Thanks all, with your comments here and emails I have recieved I think that we are at about 30 boats at the moment. I am still waiting for an answer from the local council about the charges for the Batson boatpark.

Catering wise, we are going to be providing the usual Salcombe snacks on Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime, Saturday night we will stoke you up with a choice of / mix of Thai Green Chicken Curry, Beef Stroganof, Veggie Pasta, Salad, Garlic Bread, Rice etc etc (all good for ensuring plenty of wind on Sunday!) at £10.00 per head and Sunday lunchtime (after sailing) food off the menu and a first come 'till it runs out Carvery

Hopefully you will all go away having enjoyed good sailing, good beer and good food...........
