MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Silver Tiller 2009

Just trying to work out our programme for this season, you know; babysitting, brownie points, hotels, etc. but are the dates on the web "confirmed"?

No Lyme & Weymouth as per the Autumn magazine?
The lack of Chichester has already been mentioned on the forum.

I presume that the Guide will be with us with the next magazine (eagerly anticipated!).

See you on the circuit - Salcombe hopefully first this year - (Nationals currently under negotiation - after all we have a title to defend!!!).

Hi Andy

Yes, all of the Silver Tiller venues and dates on the web site are now confirmed, along with most of the start time details etc.

Unfortunately it was not possible to include Lyme and Weymouth in the final cut this time around, but I hope we can return to both venues in future. However, we do have a new event at Lymington and a return to Exe SC after a very long absence.

Worth noting that if you attend the Exe / Starcross weekend and both days at Hayling you will bag four Silver Tiller results i.e. two sea events and two in the open water category. If you then do any of the restricted water events you will have qualified for Silver Tiller in just three weekends - bargain!

The season kicks off the weekend after next with the Hamble Warming Pan, followed by Midland. If you are prepared to do a lot of travelling you can then do a Merlin event almost every weekend until October - bring it on!

Thanks Dave, noted the south west bias too (very much approve of that!). Time to start booking the babysitters!
