Hi,
I'll be there for the Sunday - looks like a good deal - only 4-5pm and then the "clear-up" -moving boats/stand materials etc.
I'm planning on being there for some hours before, I'll dorp in early and if anyone wants to have a break, let me know.

Just want to know where / how we get the entrance ticket?
ALso will there be somewhere on the stand to leave bike gear or should that be left in the organisers office?
Posted: 01/03/2009 18:30:50 By: Andy M |
sorry, there is no where to leave personal stuff on the stand.
Posted: 02/03/2009 11:51:59 By: Stand Manager |
Ok, I'll do the same as last year.
But what happens about our tickets?
Posted: 02/03/2009 17:40:53 By: Andy M |
IIRC there's a cloakroom tho' I think they charge. Through main entrance, bear left and up the stairs (unless they've moved it, of course!)

2 merlins on the MROA stand and one on the Harken stand should be good -is the new wooden boat all polished up and ready to be drooled over ?
Posted: 03/03/2009 15:10:01 By: . |
When I caught sight of it about 2 weeks ago the decks had been varnished, both the inside and hull had been painted and fit out was just about to commence. Not a 5 min task by any stretch of the imagination given that it is to be fitted with the one string set up.
Can't get to the show unfortunately but it would be good if some kind soul takes lots of pictures for the merlin web as this boat really has broken the recent trend.

Still no reply to my question about the ticket for entry.
I presume it needs to be mailed out so could whoever is organising the stand please email me so that I can provide my address, before it is too late!

Or do we turn up on the day and ask the sumo wrestler lookalike in a shiny black suit on the door for a ticket on production of a printed off MROA stand roster, pictorial ID and current MROA membership sticker/boat registration certificate?
Posted: 03/03/2009 22:11:05 By: Peter 3112 |
There will be a very limited number of exhibitor tickets available on a first come first served basis for those registered in the above roster. (You will need a passport sized photo - I think there is a photo booth in the entrance hall) - Just call me 07715 121542 when you arrive and I'll come to the entrance with them.
Alternatively, when these have run out, you should buy a normal visitor ticket & get a receipt. I'll reimburse you on the MR stand.
See you on Saturday
Martin P.s. regretfully little or no space for bike gear on the Merlin stand
