Hi Folks
Thanks for that. A hard fought regatta with the highest wind speed of 42 knots recorded on the first day on the way in from racing. The gusts here are like Salcombe slammers on steroids, raced in 30+ knot winds. Big handstand wipeout in race one but retrieved the regatta and now off into the Worlds. Struggling in the big breeze against a couple of the fatter teams.
Bye for now
Barnsie & Pete

Hi Folks
Sailing is like Russian Roulette. Toileted twice today from the front and had to claw our way back.
Now in second, but when the second discard kicks in we'll, be fighting for 1st to 3rd.
Today, won the first one and had a spin on the start in the second (Sqaushed between to Aussies (Bangers to leeward and Beswick to windward on a black flag) but recovered to 5th. Next one a big shift to the left with us middle right. Clawed our way back to 8th. Next one led but the breeze filled in from behind (7 - 12 knots) on the first run and we were swollowed but clawed our way back to 5th taking 2 on the line.
Conditions very difficult and no boat consistantly up there other than us as we are not prepared to bang corners. Have the speed on the fleet in the light and medium conditions except for The Nude who we,ve battled with.
Tomorrow will be interesting as it will be a 3 way fight with Bangers and Nick Richardson.
Will let you know how we get on. Looks as if it will be a real fight out there.
Bye for now
Barnsie and Pete
