Topic : MR 3500 on E Bay

With less than a day left, does it represent good value? seems to have changed hands a few times in a couple of years, or is my memory fuzzy?

Build date given as 1986 when it should be 1992! NSMII by Bagley in foam sandwich.

The photo looks like a different sail number too - not that it makes a big difference.

And as I recollect (being pedantic) I believe it was made by Jason Bishop

Yep 3500 for sale again, I bought her at the beginning of the year to replace Cloud Nine which i had to sell to put some money back in to my business, have refurbed her and put some decent s/h speed sails on, interesting to see what she goes for as could be a good indication of the state of the market, there has been very little movement in the secondhand list for boats of this type and value. Hopefully if she sells i will buy a Winder but we shall have to see, Reserve is set at a grand which i think is great value for money, we wil just have to wait and see,

? Your memory is fine this boat has changed hands a lot over the last three years, I almost went there myself when she was for sail at Wembley.
I will be intrested to see what happens.
Has she been unlucky with her buyers or is she like a Labradour puppy i.e. a money pit?

hi shes certainly not a money pit apart from not having carbon spars she is fully race ready, and very competitive round a gravel pit.

I saw her a year and a half or so ago at Ranelaugh she was very tidy and yes she does have an aft tank from memory. Being an NSM11 she would make a very good river boat (i am a big fan and have an nsm11 myself). The only question mark would be over her weight but I dont know what she weighs and the reality is that this is largely psychological. I didnt buy her because i felt she was a bit overpriced at the time considering she didnt have a carbon rig (I think she was being sold for more than £2k).

If anybody does buy her (and I would say at the £1000 mark she would be a good buy) I have a black carbon Selden (proctor) mast spare that would go straight on her as it is from my old plastic NSM11 (I now have a pretty wooden one and am probably going to put a tall rig on her).

Hope this is helpful
