Can't believe you are using the infamous Salcombe Green vs Orange photo sequence for the advertising photo...

There's a far better Green v Orange shot. Watching this happen from the terrace was my best spectating experience at Salcombe since Mark Candelas stuck his mast through the gin palace canopy

Please note the Take It Easy was not harmed in the making of this dramatic action shot ;-)

Did you call starboard Ross?

By: JC
Ross that was the incredible thing about it! There were 3 boats that ended up shooting across the estuary like scalded cats and the audience knew that a gybe under the watch-house was both inevitable and likely to be entertaining. Quite how Andy threaded his way through your death-roll I know not as he was somewhat beyond the normal limits of control, but there was amazingly no actual collision.

JC interesting point, can you call Starboard if you are capsized. I'm guessing not ;-)

Is 3606 capsized? During her change of course did she give the other boat room to keep clear?

Just, but only just as Mr Dalby will testify. We all needed a drink after the race!

There is another shot of this incident in the up comming magazine - should be hitting your doormats this week!
Unless you had more incidents like this Ross?

Colour can also affect how likely you are to be involved in an accident. A study published by the British Medical Journal in 2003 uncovered silver as the best colour for avoiding a crash resulting in serious injury whilst green, brown and black increased the risk.

So if you have a black and silver hull, you likely to be in a collsion when upright and be easily avoided if silver bottom unless you blind the oncoimng team in the sunlight. Rein Zilvold's Nemo does not boad well then with a black bottom, but the blue definitely works.
Ours will stand out from the crowd, so no excuses for hitting us!!!!!! However, not qiute like the General Lee.

Barnsie; I suspect the fleet will be happy to see you in a bright colour, give everyone a better chance of getting out of the danger zone!!!

Mark (Candelas) There is no shame in admitting that you want to return, many people go but always seem to return.
Just do it, there are some very good boats for sail secondhand and there are still choices from the various builders for a new one.

Rob - thanks for that - but I was just having a little joke - more than happy to stay with the Wembley 'Smooth Merlins' (MRX). Regards to all!
