Topic : Mast Position

Does anybody have an idea of the distance of the rear of the mast to the centreboard bolt (or any other reference point) on an old Hotspur 206? The mast is a Proctor D and does not sit well in the mast gate so something is wrong. Thanks.

Dear Stuart,
Try the designer, Keith Callaghan who should know where everything is. His web site is www.bluelightning.co.uk

Broz think you will find it's 5 feet not 3 stem to mast

50 or 60 from the stem inches rings a bell.

I removed the mast step from my Chipstow Tales a while ago now and panicked just before the champs because I couldn't see where it had been taken off. No holes etc...

Contacted Jacko and he looked in The Filing Cabinet!!! And there it was...

60in to the front of the mast from the stem with the jib tack pin 7in from the stem...

Amazing.:o)

Thanks Jacko. Still owe you that beer...
