Not looking very good, F6 winds according to BBC site. Think I need to start eating all the pies..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=3727 |
Dear Captain Ross and other Merlin sailors at Salcombe, |
Looks like it's right enough http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ |
Looks like rain too... |
Surely you all know that Salcombe has it's own weather system. There will be no rain, only sun. |
And converging wind patterns, spinnakers from crossways and spinakers back from Blackstone , fantastic fun |
The BBC forecast is generally ruubish and always at the extremes. XCweather is generally more reliable. Mind you it still doesn't look as if the odd pie will go amiss. |
We always rely on windguru - follow the link on the SYC webpage - it rarely lets us down............................ |

Looks as though I may just try and find someone to tow the boat to Mill Bay rather than sail it over Saturday(particularly as it isn't mine!) but Sun/Mon looks pretty good |
Sunday 16mph SW gusting to 38mph |
Lark the Mark isn't turning up till Sunday, so I need to get the boat over to Mill Bay without him..... |
With the trolley on board as described by Mags? |
