With one builder, turning out one boat a month, the numbers can not increase by more thsn 12 per year...
And if that builder is busy with other classes, and builds fewer boats, then there will be even less.

By: more boats needed
AND more people with the cash to pay too.

So how many of us currently have boats on order anmd when are they due for delivery. Also what is the latest number to date.
Ours is due 07.02.2008. Our choice of date but ordered shortly after the Nats last year but would have been 12 months from order to delivery and as busy with the B14 Worlds would not have been used and would need storing.
Problem is, we cannot expect a builder to put all his eggs in one basket and then there to be a lack of orders in the future.
Increased capacity comes with demand and I believe we will see another good build option in the near future but, it will have to be as well built and finished as the Winder and priced competitively and be able to win events or will not work. At least with Dave, when you roder a boat, you can plan for the season of delivery as they keep to schedule unlike some we will not name.

UNless there is a strange new numerical theorum 3690 was last years champs say 9 months ago 3696 would mean a new boat about every 6 weeks has anyone had anything other than a Winder in that time?
Would Winder just produce hulls for others including owner for out / decking etc?

Winders will supply hulls in various stages of completion if required but I would suspect the complexity of the fit out puts people off .

Does it really need to be that complex?

With the boats I know of, we should be 3703 +/- 1 then.
