According to the 1980 YB the first owner of 3163 "Paradoxical" was J Flanagan of Bolton SC.

Yes, Joe was, and still is I think, treasurer at Bolton Sailing Club. He used to have a new Merlin every year, usually from John Turner, Funny that !!
