Merlin Rocket second. V tricky regatta indeed - Steve Tylecote sailed an absolute blinder and was very very worthy winner, being the only boat to record a full suite of top ten positions. Wind was very shifty and variable in strength, tide was strong and most people were going the same speed, so a minor shift could lose 4-5 boats easily, major shift could take you from 1st to 20th. Races were won and lost offwind, and several races (3?) turned inside out as new wind favoured the second half of the fleet who took the alernative gybe away from the windwark mark.

Many congrats to Roger and James whose ability to read the offwind legs greatly improved their finishing power.

Completely knackered and struggling to stay awake, knees and back ruined for life!

GGGGGGGGG
