MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Two Islands Race Essex

Two Islands Race at Harlow B.S.C. this year is in the hands David Islin, a splendid Fireball bloke. I have passed on an updated race info sheet and he is a happy bunny to let The Ronets pass it about. However Ron’s in France with his lovely. I am out at the Dog and Duck learning beer-drinking tips in far-flung Norfolk. Copy of race info is about to be sent to Mags!! Who may well put in a link?
Warning: any competing Rocketeers bringing my name into disrepute in the Dog and Duck (I am known as a winning beret) no onions and not a wet helmet, will be out of favour big time with the buxom lady behind the bar.
Do not dig up the causeway at the top of Northy Island. This is a race but it is also a splendid yacht around a beautiful piece of top-notch water. Don’t talk about orange sauce in earshot of the basking seals. If the Adnams therapy works I will be late and as I am no longer a member of the H.B.S.C. the Ronet’s will be buying beer in the bar from 10:00 onwards and will be as helpful as always. The lad, ‘Batman’, brother of Shane, ex Essex Rocket man, be scared, very scared for I have no crew for Sunday as yet. And no you can’t have my boat. Yours Alan J

Can't wait but hope we don't have to do the mud run again. It was OK when Tudor was crewing for me and carried me - Hilary might not be so obliging.

Oh - and has Jacko found the Trophy, can't have Alan Warren complaining again.
