Dear all,
Please note that after resulting to booze and cash bribes, Roger from Looe has managed to convince Looe Sailing committee that the Merlins can move the champs to racing on the Sun 17th August -> Friday 24th August.
This works with the Looe volunteers, tide, school kids, teachers, grockles, pasty shops etc... They have room for approx 100 boats. We feel this is a result.
The Merlin 2008 champs team are getting ready to ramp up a big one with some serious family pack sized fun and games.
Please get booking your accoms!!!!!!!! Chop chop.

Just check your dates though, the Friday is the 22nd, not 24th! Bear in mind that it will be August Bank Holiday weekend down here.

Now just got to sort the babysitter - any volunteers out there to look after our 2 year old (as she will be then) toddler whilst Mummy & Daddy try to keep pace with the back of the fleet?

Oops well spotted. The champs 2008 week will be the week before the August bank holiday. Racing starts on the 17th August 2008 (sun) and ends on the 22nd August (friday).

If anyone wants to practice in Cornwall the week before, Rock SC is hosting it's annual Camel Week Open Regatta from the 8th through 15th August. Scroggie Senior first, Scroggie Junior in second this year. Lots of nice silver wear, only south facing beach in Cornwall and aside from the Chelsea tractors & posh people - all in all lovely place to be. Two weeks in Cornwall for next year - think of your carbon footprint and spend the carbon you save on a new mast.
Seperate prizes for fleets over 4 boats - we had three this year ...
