I need to adjust and repack the bearings on the road trailer however the double seal is in a stainless tube fixed into the hub.  To get to the split pin and take the hub off i need to remove the stainless tube - does anyone please know if the tube is screwed in or is it an interference fit?  I don't want to start hammering if its a thread!

Have spoken to him and he has told me that they are an aftermarket fitting to their trailers - they dont achieve a great deal but the tube in question is just pressed into the hub and should come out with a pair of stlisons.
