Topic : Need a Launching Dolly

Trying to come up with a launching dolly over here in the USA. Been launching from the road trailer but prospective club has no road, launch from other end of lake at beginning of season and then beach launch after that. Main company seems to be called Seitech. Dollies look OK... but which one? Would one for a RS400 be OK? They are a little narrower than my MR but only an inch or two I think. A custom starts to cost big bucks!

Thanks... John

Dear John,
That caused me some confusion! I used to hear the term "launching dollys" a lot. The bevy of delightful young girls who would come & take away the boat trolley (sometimes even crew!).
Another generation.

The important point is to make sure that the cradle fits the hull and that it is in the right place so that th eboat is almost balanced.
One of the old trolleys I have has a thin wood cradle (possible steamed to fit), then epoxy resined with a couple of ropes added into epoxy as reinforcing.

Luck,

Colin
