Topic : Pwllheli Silver Tiller

The first Silver Tiller sea meeting of the year takes place on 2nd and 3rd June at Pwllheli Sailing Club, also the venue for our National Championships. The open meeting will give you the opportunity to try out the venue before the “big one” in August. Racing will take place on some of the best sailing water in the UK and launching is from a protected sandy beach within a few yards of the secure dinghy storage area and the modern clubhouse, which overlooks the marina.

There will be two races on Saturday, starting at 1400 and two more races on Sunday. You should allow 30 minutes to reach the sailing area. There are catering facilities at the Club, and on Saturday evening there will be a meal for competitors of cassoulet – look it up in your French cookery book! There is also a well-stocked bar.

Access to Pwllheli from the north is via the A55 trunk road, and from the Midlands and south the best route is likely to be via Bala, Trawsfynydd and Porthmadog. For further information on the Club, please see the Champs build-up pages – and, while you are there, don’t forget to sign up for the Nationals!
