Topic : Upper Thames Open

Don't forget the UTSC Open meeting on the 21st and 22nd April including Vintage and Classic events.

There is plenty of space to leave your boat so you can keep it at the Club and move on to Cookham the following week.

Hope to see you there.

I understand that there is a two course meal at Upper Thames on Saturday evening (price £8.50). Suggest that you contact either Russell Connor or Ann and Lou at the Club (01628520263)if you would like to attend as not sure if you can order on the day.

Yes, you can order on the day, but it obviously makes it easier for us to get enough chickens if you let us know beforehand!

The owner of Katastrophe (2780) (long abandoned in the car park) has agreed that the boat can be disposed of after the Club has salvaged any parts or fittings that might be useful or have any value.

I propose to dig it out of the car park on Saturday, so if anybody wants to rescue any bits, it's first come, first served. Please let me have any donations towards our cadet/training boat fund.

If it has a carbon mast and a fixed rudder, can I bag them please.

Now seriosly, is the hull beyond repair then?

You'll have to come and look - why not bring your boat and sail as well?

I didnt mean I would take the hull - I just wanted to make sure she wasnt going to be burnt unneccessarily (very sad for that to happen). Someone will want her if she is salvagable.

The boat would appear to be in reasonable shape really. You will need to get a new rig and fittings as she was stripped pretty bear in minutes!

Yes a beautiful sail , beat and run in a sunny force 2-3

Dominated by the older boats in a short tacking duel against the stream.
