Gannet No 252 (Rocket, and possibly the oldest surviving Rocket) has been completely restored andis about to take to the water next week. However there is one tiny detail that I would love to have to complete her and that is a makers plaque. She was built by Wyche and Coppock in 1951 and was wondering if anyone came across one of these on their travels I would really love to have same to complete her!! If I can't get one it's not a disaster but it would be nice...... email if you can help. See link below and also http://www.cvrda.org/ and click Gannet!! http://www.merlinrocket.co.uk/gallery/default.asp?folder=gallery/building_and_repairs/restoration_of_252 |
Hi Garry. Talk to Laurie Smart. He had a badge made (in India I think) for the MGC University Motors Special I sold him a few years ago |
If nobody actually has a spare I just wonder if there was a chance that anyone could photograph a W & C nameplate and email it to me. There must be loads around on older boats (but not in the Aberdeen area!!) My email address is as per the link of my name. Thanks in advance..... |
